Project - Camp Hillcrest
Corinna at Camp Hillcrest approached me asking if I could help with some website updates. The site had been built by a well known WordPress hosting company who were not only charging a hefty annual fee for managed hosting, but also not providing adequate support once the site had been launched.
After reviewing the situation I suggested a rebuild of the site with a more lightweight page builder & improved content management, as well as incorporating an accommodation booking plugin to allow Corinna to take bookings directly via the website.
The site was relaunched on an alternative hosting platform, saving hundreds in annual fees at gaining improved customer service at the same time, on a hosting package better aligned to the site’s needs and traffic.
With the site’s new custom post structure it is now much easier for Corinna to manage accommodation, activities, reviews and team member information.
Direct accommodation bookings via the website means Corinna and her guests can now enjoy lower 3rd party fees and therefore more money in their pocket per booking.
We set up a poster with a QR code link to a form on the website, which automatically sends an email with a discount code and booking links when submitted.
Not only can guests now book directly with Camp Hillcrest via their website, but 3rd party booking calendars can now all be managed in one place – in the WordPress admin area.
The site is now using a superior form plugin than previously – the site has better form integration options and is now free from spam form submissions.
